Practice Procedures - Update 04.01.2021
During the continuing Coronavirus period, we are regularly reviewing Practice procedures in conjunction with NHS Fife Directives and Scottish Government Guidelines.
We would like to reassure our patients that even though we are going through this difficult and ever changing period and things are very different, we are still here to provide help and support with non-Covid related symptoms. This will be done in the first instance via a GP telephone consultation. Please do not ignore any warning signs of serious conditions.
Restricted access to the Practice - We continue to restrict access to the Practice in order to minimise exposure and risks to both our patients and staff.
Please DO NOT enter the Practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment.
You must only attend if you have been instructed to do so by either a GP or our Triage Nurse after a telephone consultation has taken place. All other enquiries should be made by telephone. If attending, please, wherever possible, do not bring anyone else with you.
Social distancing - perspex screening is now in place for everyone's protection. Please follow 2m distancing measures within the Practice.
Face coverings - we request that all persons visiting our Practice wear a face covering and this can be any cloth or textile material covering the nose and mouth though which you can breathe.
Repeat Prescription Requests - we have moved the box into the foyer inside the main doors. We will continue to send all prescriptions to your chosen local pharmacy. If you normally collect your prescription these will all be sent to Lloyds Leslie until further advised.
New Patient Registration Forms and other administrative forms can be found in the holders on the wall above the prescription request desk inside the foyer. .
For further guidance regarding any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and the relevant course of action to take, please refer to https://www.nhsinform.scot/coronavirus or call the helpline on 0800 028 2816.

NHS Fife Take Stock Campaign

Last year 28 tonnes of unused medicines were returned in Fife at a cost of £2.1 million.
There are simple things that we all can do to reduce medicines waste:
- When you are ordering your medicines - Check Before You Order then Only Order What You Need If you no longer take your medicine or have a question about it talk to the pharmacy team in your local pharmacy or GP practice.
- If you are coming into hospital bring all of your medicines with you - staff will have a complete record of all you are taking and the hospital pharmacy wont need to dispense more of the same medicines if they are not needed.
